I was given Graph Out Loud, a book containing a collection of graphs from GraphJam, as a birthday present from a friend. The idea is, simply, to use graphs and charts to illustrate concepts from pop culture (music, movies and the like).
It is absolutely brilliant. The graphs are very intelligent, very funny and (in some cases) quite a puzzle to interpret and understand what is being referenced. I thoroughly enjoyed deciphering it, and each reference I knew gave me a brief spurt of superiority.
