I am a fervent fan of Richard Bach's novella Jonathan Livingstone Seagull, and as a result was quite intrigued to read another of his books.

The Bridge Across Forever is a semi-autobiographical account of how Bach met and [eventually] married his second wife, Leslie Parrish.

The triumph of the novel, however, is not the story but Bach's style of writing and his philosophy. Despite tending a bit too much to the new age for my taste, he has a powerful world-view, and one that I find quite intuitive and agree with on many points.
